When filtering a table or graph based on relational data, measure filters are applied after category filters. This behavior is explained in the Filter & Rank dialog box, which contains the following text.
The measure filter will be applied after any category filters.
However, when filtering a table or graph based on OLAP data, measure filters are applied to the values of the underlying cube instead of to the values that are visible in the table or graph. For this reason, you might see values in the table or graph that you would not see if the measure filter had been applied based on visible category filters.
For example, in the following display, Central has a value of 320 and Southwest has a value of 394. These columns appear because the COST_N filter has been applied to the cube data and not the data visible in the table.
